Columbia Falls, Montana sits along the Flathead River. It's a 20 minute drive (depending on traffic) to Glacier National Park as well as a 20 minute drive to Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort. Rain, snow, or shine you can find fun filled attractions to visit and experience all year round. Columbia Falls was established in 1909 and has been known to many as the "Gateway to Glacier National Park." The people who live here have a passion and a love for the great outdoors. The winters are long and the summers are short but no matter the weather there is a community that cares about keeping Montana uniquely Montanan by encouraging visitors and newcomers to put their trash in the trash and not in the rivers nor parks nearby, and to respect the wildlife when visiting.
